Fruit fast

Benefits

· A fruit fast will create an environment for your body to heal.

· You will experience an internal cleansing as the body's systems begin the housekeeping they've been unable to do before.

· Toxins stored in the tissues will have an opportunity to be flushed out.

· The fibre in fresh, whole fruits and vegetables helps your digestion and elimination systems do their jobs.

· Fruits are packed with fibre, vitamins like A and C and nutrients like potassium and folate. Vitamin A supports your immune system, helps support vision and facilitates your red blood cells in storing and carrying iron.

Symptoms

This detox will come with symptoms resembling the flu. Headaches, nausea, diarrhoea, sore throat, coughing, fatigue, body odour, body aches, and sinus discharge are all considered normal reactions during a fast. If you find yourself with any of these side effects, take heart! and know they are a sign that your body is healing.

Sugar content of fruit

Fructose, the sugar in fruit, is slowly broken down and converted by the body through several complex processes, into sucrose and glycogen, supplying energy over a long period of time.
Fruit is actually recommended for many with sugar-metabolizing disorders, such as hypoglycaemia.

Examples of fruits for the any-fruit fast

Grapes, apples, mangoes, bananas, citrus, melons and any other fruit you enjoy is fair game on this kind of fast.

Alternatively, you can do the one-fruit fast
Melons, it is usually recommended, you eat alone as they don't combine well intestinally.

While bananas are ok, they are starchy and considered not as "cleansing" in nature, and therefore, possibly not as beneficial as other fruits.

Citrus, apples, and grapes are the most cleansing.

The vitamin C in citrus fruits and apples also supports your immune system as well as liver health. Potassium and folate are important for brain health.

While this is a popular fasting style for many, others find the many fruit combinations don't digest well together; such as acid and sweet fruits, as well as the melons that don't pair well with anything. Keep combinations to a minimum, and eat melons and citrus by themselves.

2.2 pounds (1 kg) of fruit per day is usually recommended for an any-fruit fast, eaten in 3-5 meals throughout the day

My name is Mimi Ronilla, one the lovely afternoon born in Kampala Uganda.

Am a born again Christian with a passion to draw closer and closer to God with every breath i take.

My hobbies are creating art, singing, dancing, touring, shelling, making jewelry, writing, reading and organising stuff. I am finding myself and thus find that i am dropping certain hobbies as i pick up others. my newest found activity of pleasure is taking photos. When i was younger, i loved having photos of me taken, but now, i get satisfaction seeing how i could capture a moment behind a camera.  There seems to be so many moments and wonderful photos to take and hang as art pieces of God´s wonderful creation.

I find that as i grow, i am getting a passion to live as naturally as i possibly can. So am in the transitioning process in all aspects of my body care and feeding pattern. My goal is to have the healthy body God created me to have and feel good. I also want to avoid any future conditions that may result from pour feeding and lifestyle. Of course i have not perfected my regime as i am just starting out and researching here and there for ways that have been proven to work and healthy for my life as a whole.

Of course, seeing that writing is still one of my best hobbies, i decided to have a blog. This is actually for me, but i figured maybe some day, when i am gone to live with my father, someone will read this and be inspired. But also to have a glimpse of who the inner me was. Isn´t it amazing how a soul can pour out in a writing? haha, let me leave that for a blog i will write about writing in the near future. This blog is just a mixture of everything that i love and cherish, so sit back, relax, and read yourself away. Thanks a lot.

My passion for herbal medicine.

I believe that God created natural treatment for any disease  or healthy condition known to man. Some we have discovered and some remedies are yet to be found.  Today, we find that this knowledge is dying away.

All it takes, is maturity

It takes maturity too...
be happy for someone who has exactly what you want but can´t get.
to be rich and not feel the need to throw it in every one´s face
to have conflict with someone but still cover their sin against you
to be innocent and yet say sorry in the effort to reconcile
to be a parent and admit to your child you were wrong
to be a christian and know that you are saved by grace and not keeping the law

The blessing of Oneness

The blessing of Oneness

I have been given the blessing to get married early, to a wonderful God fearing husband. He comes with so many lovely qualities that have made our marriage amazing. To get a companion who you truly can trust is a wonderful thing. But to keep one and live in the confidence that he will always be there, is more than even amazing.

Before my marriage, I had my theories about marriage. Ha-ha. But now, now I know what commitment means. What it means for two to be one. What the real meaning of love is. And what it really means to know someone.  In my very short time in this institution, I have come to learn that this is a place, where you spend all your life, on an adventure. Every day is exciting as it is a chance to learn more about your significant other. And the best part of it all is he changes and so do you, so you do not run out of things to learn. It can never get too boring; you can never know it all. And with each new day, you become an expert in the study of your oneness. The greatest driving force is love.  You love this one person before you get to know them, you know them and still love them, then they change and you love them even more when they have changed because they change with you and you get to be part of the change.  I have come to learn that it is a life of growing together; making new experiences together that will shape you to be more alike. And with time, you lose a lot of what made you "you", a lot of "my, I, " and it turns into "our, us"  You build new characters together and new virtue, which bond you even more, letting go of the old. I love to think this is why after so many years of marriage, people start to look alike.  I mean, haven´t you ever wondered why a child has 99% DNA of both father and mother? I mean mathematically it would make 198% which is impossible so, what if this unity turns the DNA of husband and wife to be more alike. Ha-ha, ok, that was just to pull a string in your head but my point is, in all that I have learnt, I have come to appreciate my one and only so much. It is like us against the world with one foundation, one goal, one mind and one heart! With our armour of the spirit, a shield of trust, a helmet of communication, iron shoes of love, a sword of commitment, and as we face the enemy, he has my back and I have his.  Troubles start to lose volume when I see who is fighting with me. Successes have more meaning. Dreams seem more realistic when they are dreamt together; Quality time seems more breath taking when it is shared with that one person. It is so exciting, makes me feel like it is my wedding day every time I think about it.  And this feeling grows more each day. It is the drums of two hearts beating together to form the rhythms of our song. This is our love story, and the pen is in our hands. With all the scary examples of failed marriages and unhappily married people, who knew we would be this happy. It is not what we are doing right, but who is doing it in us. It is at this point that am humbled by that one uniting factor in our triple bond, which is God. He has brought us far and taught us a lot in such a short time, promising us even greater joys and blessings in our lives together, if we continue to dwell in him.

It might sound like am hopelessly romantic, but I am more in love with my husband, than I was with my boyfriend (who happens to be my now husband). He showed the whole world i am his, and am not afraid to show that he is the king of my heart.

Dedicated to my husband on our forth months Anniversary.  I love you today, more than yesterday.

As hard as ... Thank you

It is easy to complain, or see all that has and can go wrong in our lives.

Dear Mummy

Thank you mom for bringing me into this world, protecting me at a tender age, raising me into the woman I am now and giving me all the advice I needed to make it through life.

Thank you for giving me the endless feeling of knowing that with you, I am always at home and for making it clear to me that surely, unconditional love is a reality! Thank you for believing in me even when I find it hard to believe in myself, for encouraging me, for standing by me always.

God could not have chosen a better mom for me. He saw in His wisdom that only a heart like your´s, can embrace a heart like mine to the deepest, that words can´t explain. He saw how safe I would feel with you in my life, and he knew that I could maximize my time on earth only when I had a role modal like you to look up to as a mother. In His wisdom, He saw us.

What we have, Mom, is desirable. I will never take it for granted. Because not only are you a mother, you are my best friend and sister at the same time! I could say you are my everything hadn´t I known that there is One, who gave us this. He is our everything. You are so cool, young, fun and full of life and I enjoy spending time with you. I love the fact that we talk about everything and can do anything together. Thanks for the trust you put in me. You have raised me with the best of morals, and yet given me chance to explore my world and fly. With warmth, you showed me the right path which I will not dare leave. And I know, you are an opportunity, that not many have, and I treasure you with all my heart.

Am really grateful for this day because this day! Is my mother´s day! My birthday is the day I celebrate you. I secretly wish it were the other way round, that all the birthday wishes could come to you because surely, you did the work and I would not be here hadn´t it been for you. If motherhood was a job, you would be better than a specialist or professor!  Today is the day where your role as a mother to me started and you have been so faithful to it, night and day for 23 years! And you have never grown tired of it. You have always been the best at it as long as I can remember. And I pray that when the time is right, I can be a mother to my kids like you have been a mother to me! For you are my inspiration.

You are One

When you enter into marriage, you begin it with your spouse, just the two of you. And fact is unless you separate or die, you will end it just the two of you.

The parent-child

The cry of age.

A mother can raise 10 children but 10 children cannot raise a mother.
